This year it’s only natural that we want to do something to honor the heroes who have stood on the frontlines. Bobo’s, the Colorado-based maker of simple, delicious bars and snacks handmade with love have released a special edition Hero Chocolate Chip Oat Bar. This bar was created to show their appreciation for the heroes who have loved their communities like family throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in the lead up to National Nurses Week (5/6-5/12) and National Teacher’s Appreciation Week (5/3-5/7).

Each package features illustrations of COVID-Unit Nurse, Amy Lammers of NorthWest Ohio or Public School Teacher, Annette Falcon of Wyoming on the front. 100% of proceeds are donated to charities (Project HOPE and AdoptAClassroom) that assist those who work in healthcare and education. These bars highlight the tireless and selfless efforts of frontline workers in Healthcare and Education who were nominated by the Bobo’s community.

In honor of their incredible work in the community, Bobo’s has also given each chosen hero a $1,500 grant. Falcon’s grant is facilitated through AdoptAClassroom where she can order any school supplies that she needs for her classroom and students, an expense that regularly is covered by a teacher’s own salary. Lammer’s grant is going towards many of the out-of-pocket expenses that were necessary to keep her and her family safe.

“This bar was created to commemorate and honor the everyday heroes that have made such a huge impact on their communities at this time of crisis,” said TJ McIntyre, CEO of Bobo’s. “It is our tremendous privilege to work with Amy and Annette to pay tribute to healthcare workers and educators across the country.”

The limited-edition Hero Chocolate Chip Oat Bar is available online starting now and will be available throughout 2021. To your local heroes, purchase a six-pack of the commemorative bars for $14.94. For more information on Bobo’s and the Hero Bar, please visit www.eatbobos.com/hero.
